- Sheena Cimino
- // June 10, 2023
Creating your custom iced tea is so simple! All you need to do is add a little of this or a splash of that and you have a whole new spin on a summertime favorite – perfect for a backyard bbq or an afternoon at camp.
Â
Base Recipe For Iced Tea
Ingredients:
•8 cups of water
•6 tea bags (black or green tea)
•1/3 cup sugar, honey or sweetener (optional & adjust to taste)
Â
Instructions:
– In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
– Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
– If using sugar, dissolve it into the hot tea mixture while stirring.
– Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.
– Pour the tea into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. If making at camp, or somewhere where a refrigerator is not available, allow to cool for several hours before serving. Serve over ice.
