Used it on Mistubishi Outlander for a great trip around the Gaspe Peninsula in Québec.
Easy to mount, resisted to severe windstorms from the gulf.
I recommend the Sport Cove to everyone who wants to travel in his car, simple, abordable & fun.

This was really easy to install and we didn’t have any rain get in after a heavy thunderstorm. Our 2 camp chairs also fit well under the awning allowing us to enjoy the view during the storm. Fit great on our 2002 GMC Yukon.
Amazon Customer –
Affordable, easy to set up and creates a great little hippy van/camper out of our Honda Odyssey.

Always wanted a hatch tent for my Honda Element but didn’t want to pay the dealer price. Finally found a great alternative through Napier Outdoors. Went down to see the people in St. Catharines and was able to test-fit one of their tents prior to purchase. Just love this tent. It is the Sportz Cove 61500 model and fits well on the Element; a little tight around the lower door but haven’t had any issues with the seams or zippers tearing. A much better price than Honda dealer. It makes a great difference getting that extra two feet of space in the back of the Element versus trying to sleep with the rear doors closed. Held up to a storm on the first occasion of use. Have loads of people stopping and asking about it.

Awning showed up prior to our trip. We test fitted it in the driveway and found the installation was quick and easy. On our first use we arrived at our location a little after midnight and quickly and easily set the awning up in the help of a single flashlight. The awning withheld the winds coming off the mountainside throughout the night. I was concerned the stitching would rip out due to the wind but upon inspection in the morning, everything was like new. Quick tear down the next day too.

Easy enough to put up. Sturdy even in strong wind!

Even though roof top tents are all the rage in the overlanding world, I found that they just don’t work for me. So the search for an affordable, unique, and easy solution to my aftermarket, overlanding vehicle was easier than expected. I like it’s ability to fit on a diverse set of vehicles, as well as it’s easy to set up, take down and compact storage size.
From Wayfair –
Well designed, adaptable for different car sizes, easy to set up…..looking forward to summer!

The set up was a little slow the first time, the instructions were good it just took a little time to get the attachments anchored to the best spots. There were some mosquitoes and small gnats helping, but once I got it set up it did a nice job of keeping them out of the Pilot. There was a storm forecast so I decided to give it a more robust test and sat out the storm in my 2017 Honda Pilot. The winds picked up to 25-30 mph, the rain was pretty heavy, there was some pea-sized hail and the rain came sideways at times. Weather report was almost an inch of rain over a 90 minute period. I was pleased with the way the tent held up; no rain got in the Pilot, the tie downs help well, the canopy stayed tight and in place. I had the storm flap and the screen open and the ventilation was good. After the rain and the winds died down I took the tent down and that went well. The challenge was trying to fold up a wet tent neatly, but it went back into the carry case with no problem. I took it out when I got home, laid it out to dry overnight and then repacked it the next day. I look forward to testing it out overnight with my grandson.

Have not used yet, but I tried to attach it to a smaller car. A 2016 Golf and it works quite well upon initial set up.

Used my minivan tent this past weekend through the CA storms for the first time. Was worried that the tent would leak or blow away in the fierce winds. Through the night, the wind would even shake my van at times. No problem with the Sportz Cove even with the rainfly/awning connected to the guide ropes. Stayed nice and dry. This product was impressive and well-designed for my Honda Odyssey ! I am definitely recommending it. Can’t wait for the many camping trips to come with my Napier Sportz Cove.

A truly versatile piece of kit as I was able to get this fitted to my 2016 Trail Edition 4Runner that has a Wilco Offroad HitchgateT spare tire carrier attached and I did it all in the dead of night by myself.

I purchased this awning for my Toyota Sequoia on my camping trip to Oregon. It was exactly as advertised and fits great. After fumbling through the initial installation, I was able to put it up quickly each time thereafter by myself. It’s a great alternative to using a tent when traveling solo.
