We were initially disappointed that, when we bought the Backroadz Truck Bed Tent, for our 8' box, and were eligible for a discount of the Backroadz Link, it was unavailable online, as no Canadian Tire in the Maritimes, would honor the discount. I contacted Napier, via email, and the respondent took note of our issue, and corrected it. So were able to purchase it online, with the discount. So......that right there says to us, that, customer service is absolutely top notch.
All that stuff aside. We totally LOVE our Backroadz Link!!!! So much frikkin' room! And it's nice to have space to set up a small table and chairs inside, so we can just sit and hang out, play cards, etc, if the weather isn't so cooperative, haha.
Awesome product! We love it!!!

Très bien
I've used my tent twice so far and everything is working out perfectly. I love the fact that the tent never has to touch the ground and get dirty. No setting up to clean after the camp...Happy with the strap protectors and no scratches on my truck, and I top off the mattress with my manual pump to get it really firm and I am then very comfortable in the tent. Now looking forward to many boon docking adventures in northern Minnesota.
Absolutely love this combo! So simple to put together and spacious enough for 2+. I would definitely recommend this to others.
I absolutely love this tent! At 5’2”, I was able to set it up completely by myself, although having a second person does make it a bit easier. Attaching the tent to my SUV was quick and simple, and it disconnects just as easily if you need to drive your vehicle during your camping trip.
On my first night camping, I experienced a severe thunderstorm. I was grateful to be able to stay safely inside my SUV while the tent kept all of my gear completely dry. Another feature I appreciated was being able to leave my bike rack installed, which provided a convenient place to hang clothes and towels. A 9’ x 9’ outdoor rug fits perfectly inside the tent to give it a cozy, homey feel.
The attached screen room is a fantastic bonus, offering extra space to relax and keep bugs out. I also highly recommend purchasing the custom floor tarp, as it adds extra protection and helps keep the tent clean.
Overall, this tent is well-designed, easy to use, and has made camping much more enjoyable.
This is a fantastic tent! It added so much room to my SUV space and made camping much nicer. It was easy to set up. Highly recommend. Thanks!
Fits great into my 2019 Ram 1500. Setup is easy but would recommend setting it up prior to camping. I did realize if you camp with this tent, you'll have to keep it up the entire camping trip. If you need to use the truck you'll have to take it down. But that can be done easily.
2007 Ford F-150. It fit perfect and the instructions were great. Looking forward to many adventures.
I bought one in 2023, and I love it. I go camping with my grandkids we all fit comfortably. I actually use the little loft that sticks out as the dining room area for them. That’s where I have the cooler their table. I put the little rug there so they could put their shoes there and then walk in with no shoes For nighttime next to the my SUV I put a little toilet so I don’t have to go outside. The kids are still little and I don’t have to get up in the middle of the night. It works out in every single way. My sister has a giant trailer with two bedrooms, sleeps up to eight and people will go to her lot where we go camping just to look at my tent under the awning. That’s where I put my kitchen and it’s just beautiful. I love it. I recommend this 100%. And I do set it up with my grandkids so it’s no big deal easy to set up. I have grandkids from 4 to 12 and they all helped me.
Nice equipment
Easy setup in under 5 minutes to get shade, and at night ventilation without bugs if you sleep in the back of the SUV. This was a game changer for our summer car camping as now we get ventilation to stop nasty condensation inside the vehicle as well as being mosquito and bug free! Such a perfect space is formed under the hatchback that is formed by this awning that you can sit under for shade in the day. The window/door with bugscreen allows fresh cooling air in but keeps pests out! Small enough package that you can fly off with it in your suitcase for foreign vacations where you have a rental vehicle. Great for the beach, park under a palm tree!
Works great, especially as we were camping in a jungle with bugs of all kinds night AND day! Makes a great additional space to sit out in a chair for two or three people, to relax and watch nature without being eaten alive. Sportz Cove and Bug Shield together fit easily in our suitcases to fly overseas and worked with every rental SUV hatchback to give us camping options and saved hotels, or just park up in nature and get some rest in the shade of the Cove!
We did a 1 week test run with our Sportz SUV tent and it was definitely a test. Three days of wind with some 48 mph wind gusts and 3 days of off and on rainy weather. The tent stayed dry as a bone and held firm in the high winds. I’m 67 and my husband is 73. If we can do it, anyone can.
I was a little skeptical about fit, ability to keep water out, as well as overall build quality, but put it up on of my Ram 1500 short bed, slept in it a couple very cold nights with a little rain, and it performed flawlessly. Cinch it down tight, it will protect you, keep moisture out, and it’s not going anywhere. Very happy with my purchase.
I have bought 2 of these since 2020 and love camping with either of them. I have a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab (my son is driving now) that I bought the first tent for in 2019 and a 2021 Chevrolet Trail Boss that I immediately ordered a second tent for because I was so impressed with the first one. The Trail Boss has a Sport Bar that I managed to fit the tent around. I also bought the Airbedz air mattresses for both and they are probably to the most comfortable thing I've slept on. Problem is with those, I had both break open in a corner seam so they can't even be patched. I've gone to using a cot in the bed of the truck now. I've used both tents multiple times in various weather conditions and have had no issues. I did have a pole break once but bought a replacement from Napier and had it in hand in a week. I can set the tent up in about 20 minutes by myself including having the air mattress inflated. The fly can be a bit of a chore when by yourself, but I've found if I fastened one of the front corners first and the opposite back corner next, you can pull the edges along to get the other two corners. I do suggest trying it at home first and I do find it easier to set up in the truck rather than on the ground, as the instructions say. I also have a camper but when I go by myself, I still prefer to take the tent. Wherever you can go with the truck, you have a place to stay. That's my favorite thing about these tents.
