How do I know which tent will fit my SUV? The “Fit My Ride” tool on our homepage will help you determine which tent will best fit your vehicle. Our SUV Tents are designed with a universal vehicle sleeve to accommodate all CUV’s, SUV’s, and minivans for a custom fit.
How does the sleeve on the SUV Tent secure to the vehicle? The universal vehicle sleeve has an elastic band at the end creating a custom fit to your vehicle. The adjustable wheel well and trunk straps ensure a snug fit to your vehicle and the fabric flaps on the inside of the sleeve help seal any minor gaps caused by a curvy vehicle.
Can one-person set-up a Napier SUV Tent? Yes. For the initial set-up however, we do recommend having assistance. Due to the long pole design of the Sportz Dome-To-Go (86000), it may be slightly more challenging to complete set-up solo.
Will the SUV Tents work with a small enclosed trailer (i.e. a teardrop trailer)? Yes, as long as the circumference of the trailer opening does not exceed 210”.
My pole broke? How do I get a new one?
Please refer to the Warranty section on the website.
Is there a warranty?
There is a one-year manufacturer defect warranty. Please consult the Warranty section on the website.
How can I make sure that my tent is the most water resistant that it can be?
Our tents already have a water-resistant coating on them. However, the coating may wear down over time and you may want to spray a water repellent coating onto the tent and rainfly after a few years of use.
Do I need to use a seam sealer on my tent?
A seam sealer is not necessary. Our rainflies and truck tent floors have taped seams to guard against water entry. For additional protection and product maintenance, you may wish to use a seam sealant on your tent. Please note that water drops through the needle holes along the seams is common with all tents and is not a manufacturer’s defect.
How do I find a retailer near me?

Excellent tent to append to a small hatchback! We put it on our Prius for a camping –the rear of the car fits into kind of a big sleeve on one side of the tent. You can, however, disconnect the car from the sleeve and zip the tent closed and leave it standing while you drive around for the day. Two straps go to the front of the car and two more we hooked to our wheel spokes, but the whole shebang is stable enough that we did not feel the need to stake it down. We slept in the car and used the tent as a living and dining room, but you could also have people sleeping in the tent. I did, however, use a cord to hold the Prius hatch about 6 inches lower than its full open position as it seemed to fit the tent better that way. You also have to check the tent is snugged up underneath the car if you are in a buggy environment.

We used ours for the first time this last week…a full week of camping. Could not be happier. The tent fitted to my Honda CRV perfectly. Easy to setup. Very impressed with the quality.

This tent is exactly what we were looking for. Attaches well to our Crosstrek, 7 foot ceiling accommodates this 6’ 3” guy. Roomy 8×8 interior. Setup was a learning experience in the backyard before we took it camping. Convenient that it’s carry case has an expansion zipper (who ever gets anything back to original pack size?).

Very good fit to my Toyota Matrix. Outstanding product. First test run at Grindstone National Park in Damascus Virginia. 19 degrees was not a comfortable night, but during the day it was perfect. Set up was easy and separation and reconnection was simple. Plenty of room for me and the stuff I took on the trip. The tent fit with the hatchback open or closed. I can’t wait to try it in the rain and wind.

This fits a Honda Fit perfectly. Helpful to have two people, but it can be put up by one. I used a tarp to keep it clean and protect the bottom from sharp rocks. Buy some real tent stakes, as the standard ones with this tent would surely bend in hard earth. It would be handy to have 2 extra steel poles to put up the shade awnings on both the driver’s door side and rear side (opposite of hatchback opening), but I’ll buy some replacements poles for that. Amazon, please consider selling the replacement poles sold by the tent manufacturer. Pretty easy to figure out how to attach it to the car and customize the straps. In rainy conditions, I would use another tarp over the opening for the hatchback. If there were tons of insects, blue painter’s tape might help to seal it better. No fuss needed for dry and low-bug conditions. Overall very happy with purchase.

Works perfectly with my 2017 Outback. Plenty of room to stand inside and easy to assemble. Took 15 minutes by myself. Haven’t used it in the rain yet – but so far very pleased. Great spacious tent!

The Sportz SUV Tent is just what I was looking for and more. It fits the back of my Volvo XC90 just right. There is plenty of room for all my gear in the tent while I sleep comfortably in the back of the Sport wagon. It provides me with shelter in case of bad weather and shade with the extended 6×6 awning. Its overall versatility is what makes this unit so practical providing so many features all in one unit.
Roberta G (Pittsford, NY) on Auto Anything –
The Napier Dome to go tent is great, easy to set up and take down and very comfortable. Leaky where the hatchback touches though and needs waterproofing spray. No problem getting it into the bag provided either.
OLCAY A (Bloomington, IL) on Auto Anything –
It is a well-made tent that can be attached to a station wagon (Subaru-Outback in my case). It a a bit heavy for a tent of its size. It takes getting used to to set it up especially if it is going to be attached to car. So I recommend to practice it before going camping with it.

Haven’t been able to try this out yet but arrived very promptly…if I had to order another product I certainly would order from here
